(NPS)

This phenomenon represents my first field of research.

It was the subject of my Ph.D. at the University of Hertfordshire, under the expert guidance of Prof. Ornella Corazza, Prof. Fabrizio Schifano and Prof. Giovanni Martinotti.

I am part of the international research network in this field, and I have edited a specific chapter on the clinical impact of synthetic cathinones in the international manual dedicated to NPS.

Performance Enhancing drugs

(PEDs)

These highly heterogeneous compounds represent a new frontier linked to the use of substances within a society that increasingly seeks performance and immediate results.

I edited a specific chapter in the book dedicated to emerging substances in sports, edited by Prof. Olivier Rabin (WADA) and Dr. Corazza.

Neuroscience of well-being

This is the topic of the Thematic Seminar that I hold at the University of Trento, addressing the fundamental pillars necessary for our psychophysical well-being: from the role of dopamine in our motivation, to the risk of substances of abuse, from physical activity to sleep.

In the first university text on new forms of addiction, I wrote the chapter dedicated to the dopamine system and its role in our daily lives.
